Meet Our Fabrics!

Here at Otterly Adorable Threads, we like natural fabrics! All of our clothes are made from bamboo, cotton, or a bamboo cotton blend! We use spandex jersey for things like dresses, shirts, and bummies because it is extra stretchy. A small portion of our clothes, some bottoms, sweaters, sweater rompers, and things of that nature, require a slightly heavier knit so for that we use French terry!

Our solid line is made from 240gsm  bamboo jersey, which is 95% bamboo viscose 5% spandex, 240gsm bamboo cotton jersey which is 66% bamboo viscose 28% cotton and 6% spandex, and 300gsm bamboo french terry which is also 66% bamboo viscose 28% cotton and 6% spandex. Our French terry is a thicker fabric that has loops on the inside. Think of what sweatpants and hoodies are made of!

Our prints are printed on 260 gsm bamboo jersey, which is 95% bamboo viscose and 5% spandex, and bamboo cotton spandex French terry which is 66% bamboo viscose 28% cotton and 6% spandex. DISCLAIMER: french terry accepts color differently than bamboo does so if you choose to order anything made from French terry and bamboo the color may not be an exact match!
